Hi, I'm Jake!

​

I first started learning to play the guitar when I was 10 years old and music became my passion almost immediately. As you can imagine, after learning for such a long time I have managed to pick up a thing or two about how to play well while having fun, and I really enjoy being able to pass this knowledge on to those that want to learn.

My guitars have been on a journey with me through school and university where I have acquired a 1st class (BA Hons) Music Technology and Popular Music Performance degree and a (MA) Music Management and Artist Development masters degree (Distinction).

​

Furthermore, I am qualified with grade 8 certification from both RGT and Rockschool examination boards.

​

Over the years, I have played in countless bands in front of thousands of people, in genres ranging from pop to metal, blues and funk. I have been lucky enough to play in numerous countries around the world, recorded in iconic studios such as the famous Ealing Film Studios, performed in prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scotts and played in pit bands for a number of musicals.

It has been an exciting journey so far, meeting incredible musicians from all over the world and I love meeting more budding guitarists through these lessons, who will undoubtedly have the ability to go on to be incredible musicians too.
